Stunning Landscape of Rapid Bay
South Australia has many beaches and some of them are quite famous due to their close proximity to Adelaide, Rapid bay however is definitely not close at almost a 2 hour drive from Adelaide Rapid Bay is quite remote in location, but this drive is well worth it due to the scenery and the uniqueness of this place.
What makes Rapid bay special is its unique setting, it was a mining town in the past with a small seaside township, the beauty of Rapid Bay is its turquoise blue waters and its natural landscape. In fact the road to Rapid Bay is one of the most scenic drives you can have in South Australia with the road winding down to Rapid Bay surrounded by lush green hills.
Rapid Bay has a campground which is always super busy, but at the same time it is one of the most scenic camping grounds. There are facilities to change, toilets and shower. The campground also has a children play zone and barbecue available.
Rapid Bay is also quite famous for Scuba dives due to the natural habitat of the Leafy Sea Dragons and it is one of the best sites to see them as they live underneath the Jetty, so you will have enough opportunity to see them and a lot more, I personally haven’t been Scuba diving ever in my life, but if I had an opportunity to do it Rapid Bay would be on top of my list.
For me this place is all about landscape and the Rapid Bay Cave is my absolute favourite place to shoot a pic, if I am around then I will not miss an opportunity to go to the cave to click a pic.
The colour of the water at Rapid Bay is another highlight for me it is incredible to see this as a drone photographer and when the sun hits the water it is just pure magic, if you are into kayaking Rapid Bay has a secret beach to offer and it is the most spectacular place you can visit, it is almost always secluded and just looks stunning, unfortunately I do not have the image to show you, but if you search it on the internet you will definitely see it again this is in my To-Do lists whenever I get an opportunity to do that
As you can see with my repeated visits to this place there is still so much even I have not experienced, so Rapid Bay is a place which has a lot to offer regardless if you are there for the scenery or for adventure.
