So anyone who is researching travelling to South Australia, has definitely heard of Second Valley, and there is a lot of information on Second Valley on Instagram and other social media platforms. This blog is from a local South Australian photographer, who has been to Second Valley multiple times in fact quite regularly and have captured some dreamy shots of the valley which I will be sharing in the Blog, also most of these pics are available to order in prints if you wish so and can be seen in full resolution on the Work page landscapes.

So what’s so special about Second Valley why is it so popular on instagram and other platforms, well there are many reasons and some of them I will list below.

Accessibility: Second Valley is only a 60 minute drive from Adelaide CBD which makes it super convenient for a day trip. Second Valley falls in the Fleurieu Peninsula region, the roads are perfectly sealed and the drive is stunning so much to see and do on your way to Second Valley it is a perfect 1 day trip.

Scenery: You can see why Second Valley is so famous, with lush green rolling hills, serene blue waters and hidden caves there is just so much to do and see here, but one glance at this place and you know you are in a special place. Everything is just so stunning, but please make sure you get out of you car to see what this place is all about. Fun fact I recommended a friend and his family to go to Second Valley before and they had a quick look and left, got a call the next day and he said it is nothing special clearly did not go out to exploring.

Things to do: Second Valley has a lot to offer, there is a caravan site at the location, you can always go for a swim in the pristine waters and the jetty is also quite good for catching fish, however the best part about Second Valley is exploration, I have been going to Second Valley for many years now, but even I have yet to see everything it offers. I have hiked the rolling cliffs, explored the caves and took some incredible photos, but there are things I haven’t even thought about doing yet like jumping off cliffs, Kayaking and exploring the lower caves and finding the exclusive beach. So take my word and just go visit Second Valley.

Attached below some more shots from this stunning place enjoy.
